Fjorten unge fra Team Nanoq fra Nuummi Naluttartut Klubbiat – Nuuk Sv\u00f8mmeklub, var sidst i januar 2022 i Reykjav\u00edk, hvor de deltog i Reykjavik International Games og forudg\u00e5ende tr\u00e6ningslejr.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Holdet kommer kun afsted en gang om \u00e5ret, derfor er turen til Island et h\u00f8jdepunkt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I 2021 blev turen aflyst p\u00e5 grund af Corona og ogs\u00e5 i \u00e5r havde Corona en hovedrolle. Alt imens Omikron-varianten bredte sig i Gr\u00f8nland, passede de unge p\u00e5 alt hvad de kunne. Da holdet n\u00e5ede til Reykjavik – forsinket af et par storme – var der alligevel smitte i gruppen. Ligesom s\u00e5 mange andre steder i Gr\u00f8nland og p\u00e5 Island. Med venlig hj\u00e6lp fra de islandske myndigheder, blev de smittede isoleret – men de var selvf\u00f8lgelig utroligt skuffede. De andre blev testet negative og rejste kort efter hjem til familierne i Nuuk for en sikkerheds skyld, men flyet var overbooket og en lille gruppe af de \u00e6ldste blev tilbage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ved tilf\u00e6ldighedernes spil – og endnu nogle dage med stormvejr – lykkedes det de \u00e6ldste at deltage i konkurrencerne. De repr\u00e6senterede Gr\u00f8nland p\u00e5 bedste vis med personlige rekorder og medaljer – og m\u00f8dtes med sv\u00f8mmere fra Island, F\u00e6r\u00f8erne og Danmark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

P\u00e5 trods af de yderst vanskelige omst\u00e6ndigheder p\u00e5 grund af Covid-19, s\u00e5 er Nuuk Sv\u00f8mmeklub stolt af, at turen blev gennemf\u00f8rt og de gode resultater. Selvom det var sv\u00e6rt, fik de unge en fantastisk oplevelse med meget t\u00e6tte relationer og en f\u00e6lles historie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
