Travel Support

Travel support

We always look to promote opportunities for travel and cultural exchange among the three countries. These might include the following:

  • School groups
  • Sports groups
  • Musical tours and events
  • Other types of cultural exchange

The maximum we offer for travel support is:

  • 1,000 DKK per person for travel between Iceland and the Faroe Islands/Greenland (round trip)
  • 2,000 DKK per person for travel between the Faroe Islands and Greenland (round trip)

The grant is only intended for travel costs – not accommodation or daily expenses.

How applications for travel support are evaluated

We evaluate applications for travel support based on the following factors:

  • The idea for the trip
  • The quality of the application – be sure to fill the form out correctly, as incomplete forms will not be considered
  • Emphasis on cultural interaction – e.g. staying with local families instead of using hotels
  • Budget requirements and other funding
